Royal Ambassadors (RA)

As a child growing up in the Baptist church, some boys were raised as Royal Ambassadors (RA). A royal ambassador is the Baptist's equivalent of the Boys Scout (Catholic). I saw the purpose of the RA as a right of passage for young boys, preparing them to be sons of God and laborers in God's vineyard.

The RA's pledge is as follows:
To become a well-informed, responsible follower of Christ
To have a Christ-like concern for all people
To learn how to carry the message of Christ around the world
To work with others in sharing Christ
To keep myself clean and healthy in mind and body.
A Royal Ambassador is raised to understand that he is not of this kingdom but from God's kingdom. Therefore, as an ambassador, representing the kingdom to which he belongs is of most importance. Not only is representing the kingdom a line on the job description, but bringing the message of that kingdom to your foreign land is of equal importance. Behind the pledge mentioned above and the idea of this right of passage is the Great Commission, found in Matthew 28: 19-20.
'Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.' Matthew 28:19-20 https://my.bible.com/bible/114/MAT.28.19-20

If you have not accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, you are not from His kingdom and cannot represent him nor speak His message to all nations. If you want to accept Jesus, I ask that you reach out to a Bible-believing church and share your desire for Jesus Christ. And if you have accepted Him into your life, but are yet to represent him or share his message with others, then I ask that you consider stepping into this part of your role. How could you be the ideal ambassador?
Equip yourself with God's Word. Study to show yourself approved (2 Timothy 2:15).
Live the Word of God daily as a practical Christian; Romans 12: 9-21 is a good start.
Share the Word as asked in Matthew 28:19-20, and do so with grace as though God was appealing to people through you, 2 Corinthians 5:20.
So be the ambassador from the most royal kingdom of them all, The Kingdom of God. Speak of his goodness today.
Best wishes,
LB.
