How do ideas Travel?

So you're a #HealthcareLeader and you've got some ideas you want to roll-out, how do you get the word out effortlessly?

In this unique talk, the speakers share how Ted talks connect to one another. How did they go about this? They reviewed comments made by viewers on YouTube for Ted talks and did some mathematical analysis of the talks. They found that talks in America on the human brain could connect to ideas and conversations about healthcare in parts of Asia. They also found that talks in different parts of the world built on one another. In essence, they were able to connect the dots and found that ideas travel geographically and otherwise, building on one another. What can we learn from this as #HealthcareLeaders?

If you have an idea to change the world, or at the minimum change the culture of your organization, it might be of advantage to you that you identify what the talking points are in your hospital/ healthcare system. If you want an idea to travel or a new system to be adopted, you must first assess the current environment, and then build a connection to what you want the community/ hospital to adopt. One might say your goal is to work on meeting people where they are. Start from their place of understanding, and build from there. Do not try going into a new organization to change everything overnight without first understanding where they are coming from. Connect the dots and watch your idea travel organically within the fold with ease.
